Physiotherapy
Shoulder pain
Our physiotherapists are highly experienced in assessing and managing complex shoulder injuries and conditions.
From sporting and overuse injuries, to issues with posture and mobility, we provide an individualised, evidence-based approach to thoroughly assess and treat every patient.
We also work closely with local shoulder surgeons, allowing us to provide coordinated care before and after surgery.
For patients recovering from surgery, we offer structured rehabilitation programs that are designed to restore movement, build strength and support a safe transition back into daily activities and exercise.
Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
As experienced musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapists, we deliver comprehensive assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for a wide range of injuries and conditions.
Whether you're dealing with a sporting injury, a workplace strain, or everyday aches and pains, we aim to speed up your recovery, improve the way you move, and prevent future problems.
We work with people of all ages, including children and teenagers, tailoring treatment to each individual's needs and activity levels.
Our team combines hands-on therapy, exercise prescription, and evidence-based techniques to restore function and improve performance.
Swimming Athletes
Physio for Swimmers
At South Cott Physio, we excel in the assessment and treatment of swimming injuries.
Assessments involve discussion of your swimming stroke and training load, physical assessment of the injury and development of a thorough management plan.
We believe dryland training (strength work done out of the pool) is imperative to ensure you reach your true potential in the water.
Swimming Screening
We conduct Swimming Screenings which involve a collection of swimming specific tests designed by the Australian Institute of Sport.
We test your range of movement and strength in addition to a stroke assessment to identify any deficiencies that may hinder the swimming stroke, and to try and prevent injury.
A rehabilitation plan is given within this session to enhance your swimming stroke.
A one hour consult is necessary for a swimming screen.
Clinical Pilates
Clinical Pilates at South Cott Physio begins with a one hour appointment. This involves discussion of the patient’s aims, assessment of any current/past injuries and development of an initial pilates program.
Two one on one sessions follow (or more if requested) and then the patient is able to join a small supervised group of 3.
Please contact us if you would like to know more about clinical pilates, and whether it is appropriate for you.
